Director of Curriculum and Instruction

The Elizabethtown Area School District unanimously approved Megan Moffett as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, a cabinet-level administrative position, at the May 12, 2026, Board of School Directors meeting.

Ms. Moffett brought her teaching experience to the Palmyra Area School District (PASD) in 2006, where she served as an elementary classroom teacher. During her tenure at PASD, she served as a grade-level chair, participated on the English Language Arts and Mathematics curriculum committees, engaged in professional learning communities, and presented professional development to her colleagues. Prior to joining the Elizabethtown Area School District, she also served as an adjunct professor and university supervisor for Penn State Harrisburg.

Ms. Moffett joined the Elizabethtown Area School District as principal of East High Street Elementary School in 2022. Throughout her career, she has developed extensive experience in curriculum and instruction, instructional leadership, early childhood education, assessment design, data-informed decision-making, and supporting teachers through professional learning. She has worked collaboratively with instructional support teams while fostering strong partnerships with families and the school community.

As Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Ms. Moffett provides leadership for the district's curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning initiatives while serving as a member of the Superintendent's Cabinet.

Ms. Moffett holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Towson University and a Master of Education in Teaching and Curriculum from Penn State Harrisburg. She earned her principal certification through Penn State Harrisburg and her Pennsylvania Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility from Pennsylvania Western University in May 2025. Ms. Moffett is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Administration and Leadership at Pennsylvania Western University, with an anticipated completion date of Summer 2027.
