The 2017-2018 Science Olympiad Team The Regional Competition will be held on Saturday, March 24th at Millersville University.
Science Olympiad is a great way for students interested in all aspects of science to participate in a wide variety of events. Events include construction and engineering of towers, bridges, electric vehicles, roller coasters, hovercrafts and other "build" items; and also includes many topics which directly involve lab skills such as Forensic Analysis (CSI), Disease Detectives, Optics, Potions & Poisons, Experimental Design and other lab events; and thirdly, they inculde content-based activities such as ecology, earthquakes/volcanoes, Meterology, Herpatology, Road Scholar, Rocks&Minerals, etc.
There are 14 different events to compete in and the top teams from Millersville will compete at the State Competition at Juniatia College. State winners compete at Nationals at Colorado University in May 2018.
