   I love to involve my students in hands-on learning and help them discover the wonders of science!

I was born in...

Lancaster and grew up on a farm in Mount Joy with my six siblings.

I went to college...

at Millersville University to earn my Bachelor of Science in Education and earned my Master of Science in Education at Wilkes University.

When I was in school...

I had the opportunity in sixth grade to help a fifth-grade teacher in class for a few days.  This was when I discovered my love for teaching, and I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up.

My favorite subject...

was science in high school.  I enjoyed my chemistry and advanced chemistry class.  I will never forget the many hours I worked on my science projects for the Lancaster Science & Engineering Fairs every year in high school.  

I love to vacation...

at the beach and Whitefish, Montana.

My favorite food...

is steak or prime rib.  You might find some chocolate-covered raisins and Butterfingers in my desk drawer! :)

I enjoy...

spending time with my family.  My late husband and I were blessed to raise four sons.  Two are married, and I love being "Mimi" to five grandchildren!
