Instructional Media Services / IU13

  • The Lancaster / Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 provides instructional media services (IMS) to our schools.  Every three years, the IMS staff at IU13, along with representatives from each of its member school districts, reviews the IMS resources to determine their instructional relevance.  Below is a list of a few of the current resources provided by the IMS:

    • CultureGrams - Elementary level research resources on countries, states, and provinces.  Click the interactive map to select an area of interest.  View demographic, cultural and government data.  There is open access through school for all students and staff.  Home access requires using login credentials (teachers click here for login info).

    • IMS Logos Discovery Education - Discovery Education provides engaging digital resources to schools and homes with the goal of making educators more effective, increasing student achievement, and connecting classrooms and families to a world of learning. Both students and staff may log in to Discovery Education to view and use the extensive list of resources.   Enter your district username and password to access the site.

    • Gale Research Databases - Digital archive of research databases and reference books available to secondary students through the IMS website.

    • Overdrive - Students and staff may borrow ebooks, audiobooks and more from your local library system.  Select your school district and enter your district username and password to access the Elizabethtown catalog.
