    ROCKY PARISE, Varsity Head Coach

    A native of the Harrisburg area, Rocky attended Bishop McDevitt High School, where he was a 4-year Varsity Letterman, 3 year starter, and 2 year captain on the basketball team. He helped guide the 1997 team to a State Playoff birth.  After graduation at McDevitt, Rocky attended Elizabethtown College where he was a 4-year Varsity Letterman, 3 year starter and captain of the 2002 basketball team that finished 2nd in the nation with a school record of 29-3, falling in the NCAA Division III National Championship game. He currently holds the record at Elizabethtown College for most assists in a game (14) and season (217). He is 2nd on the career assists list at Elizabethtown College (471). Rocky graduated in 2002 with a degree in Communications.

     

    In June of 2016, Rocky was named the Head Boys' Varsity Basketball Coach for the Elizabethtown Area School District.  The program has seen consistent improvement in that time, increasing it's win total every year, from five (5) wins in his first year, to ten (10) wins in his second year, to seventeen (17) wins this past year.  In that time, the program produced it's all-time leading scorer, Larry Locker '19 (1,268 points).  Larry was also the first player in program history to garner All-State honors (3rd Team 5A).  Along with individual records, the 2018-2019 team set the program record for most team 3 pointers made in a season (151) and finished with the 2nd most points scored in a season, next to the 2008-2009 team.

     

    Rocky has coached in the boys' basketball program at EAHS for the past 13 years.  He has been on the coaching staff for the only 3 State Playoff appearances in program history (2008 Assistant Coach, 2009 Assistant Coach, 2019 Head Coach). He also served as the Junior High Head Coach for two seasons and was an Assistant Coach at Elilzabethtown College for one season. In addition to coaching school basketball, Rocky served at the Head Coach of the Central PA Elite 14U Boys AAU team, based out of Harrisburg, for 4 years. In that role, Rocky guided his team to a 74-20 record over that time frame.

     

    Rocky works for Goodville Mutual and resides in Elizabethtown with his wife, Angie, and their two sons, Ryan (17) and Dylan (14). 

     


      

    LEE ECKERT, Varsity Assistant

    Lee is entering his 5th season as an Assistant Coach at Elizabethtown Area School District.  He has been an integral part in the program's recent success, mentoring Larry Locker '19 for four years, as he ultimately became the program's all-time leading scorer (1,268 points).  After 3 years as the Junior Varsity Head Coach, Lee became the Varsity Assistant the past 2 seasons in which the team's wins increased from 10 to 17.  

     

    Lee played varsity basketball for coaches Danny Walck and Warren Goodling at Hempfield. The Black Knights went 29-2 during his junior season (2009-10) and won the Lancaster-Lebanon League Championship, before finishing as PIAA District 3 Class AAAA Runners-up. That team also made it to the quarterfinals of the PIAA Class AAAA state championships in '09-10. They captured a second straight L-L League title in 2010-11. He averaged a double-double per game as a senior, with 15 points per contest and 10 boards per game. He was a Lancaster-Lebanon League All-Star , section one player of the year, as well as a L-L League Co-MVP as a senior. Lee went on to play four years at Elizabethtown college for Coach Bob Schlosser. 

     


     

    CAMERON HOOVER, Junior Varsity Head Coach/Varsity Assistant

    This is Cam's second year as the Junior Varsity Head Coach. He was a Head Coach for our 5th and 6th grade travel team and the Junior High JV Head Coach for the past 3 seasons. Coach Cam attended Elizabethtown High School where he played basketball for 4 years. He also played on the Central Penn Ballers, an AAU organization out of Harrisburg.

     

    Currently, Cam is a member of the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanic Crew Chief and plays recreational basketball on a regular basis.

     


     

    BROCK HOOVER, Varsity Assistant

     

    Brock

     

    Brock is entering his second year as a Varsity Assistant at Elizabethtown.  He helped the program for the previous 2 seasons with scouting and other game preparations.  Brock was a key piece in this past season's success, which the Bears increased their win total from 10 wins to 17 wins, ultimately qualifying for League Playoffs, the District and State Playoff Tournament.  It was only the third time in program history that the team has qualified for the State Tournament.  

     

    Brock has served as a varsity assistant and head JV coach for both the girls’ and boys’ basketball teams in the Eastern Lebanon County school district for a total of 8 seasons.  During that time, he was the “interim” head varsity girls’ and boys’ coach for a total of 10 games.  Brock is a graduate of ELCO high school and Lebanon Valley College.

     

    Currently, Brock is a Science Teacher at Elizabethtown Middle School.  He lives in Lebanon with his wife Rebecca.

     

       


     

    AARON BUCKWALTER, Junior High Varsity Head Coach

    This will be Aaron's 3rd Year as a member of the Junior High Coaching Staff. Aaron has a passion for working with middle schoolers. He has an undergraduate degree in middle-level teaching from Millersville University and is now a teacher 6th grade at Palmyra Area Middle School in Lebanon. Aaron is an E-town basketball alumnus and helped lead E-town to the 2011-2012 section championship, league semi-finals, and Giant Center for districts. 

     

    Aaron and his wife, Tiffany, live in Mount Joy. He still enjoys playing recreational basketball on a regular basis.  

     

     


       

    DYLAN HOUSEAL, Junior High JV Head Coach

    Coach Houseal is a 2013 graduate from Donegal High School where he played baseball and basketball and was 3 year varsity starter in both. He was part of the 29-3 basketball team that went deep in the playoffs and state tournament (beating nationally ranked teams along the way). Coach Houseal went on to Millersville University, majoring in Geography and graduating in 2017. He works in Harrisburg at an engineering firm and lives in E-Town with his wife Anya.
