    COURSE DESCRIPTION

    This course will focus on general science concepts of Earth Science and Ecology.  The beginning units will be about learning scientific processes and calculations and then will move into atoms, elements, compounds and how they are the building blocks of rocks and minerals.  Students will also have the opportunity to study major concepts in ecology such as population ecology, predator/prey relationships and ecosystems.  The content will be explored through lecture, demonstrations, readings, laboratory work, hands-on activities and projects.
