Rheems Elementary School and Elizabethtown Area Communities that Care (EACTC) celebrated Red Ribbon Week, the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the nation, October 23-31, 2015. This year’s theme was Respect Yourself. Be Drug Free. During CUBS classes, and throughout the week, students participated in special activities and learn about refusal skills, decision making, and the importance of being drug free. During CUBS classes on October 23 and 26, students participated in “Plant the Promise” and pledged to be drug free. Each student planted a red tulip bulb in front of the school building. When these flowers bloom, it will be a reminder of that pledge.
