Introductory Letter from Administration
Dear Students, Parents, and/or Guardians,
Elizabethtown Area High School is proud to present the 2021-2022 Educational Planning Guide. This guide serves as a resource for selecting courses for the 2021-2022 school year.
We are pleased with the variety of courses offered at Elizabethtown Area High School and our commitment to prepare all students for life within a global community. Students are encouraged to select courses that enable them to be challenged and to also help them reach their full potential. To assist students and parents in the course selection process, the high school maintains this Educational Planning Guide.
The information and descriptions contained within the guide can assist students in making the best possible selection of courses.
The guide is divided into four sections:
- General Information
- Course Descriptions
- Lancaster County Career and Technology Center Program Information
- Pathways - Each course is identified by one of the four Career Pathways to assist students with their career goals. You can locate career and employment information for Lancaster County in the Pathways section.
When selecting courses for 2021-2022, school administration strongly encourages all students to give careful thought to their future educational and career goals; their past academic achievement; and to their abilities, attitudes, and interests. Also keep in mind that planning for a successful high school career should be a collaborative effort between the student, parents/guardians, teachers, and your school counselor.
Course selection for the 2021-2022 school year will begin on January 31, 2022 using the online course selection process. The selection process can be completed on any computer with internet access. To complete the online course selection process, students must print out their completed course request form and have it signed by a parent/guardian. Return the signed form to the counseling office no later than February 22, 2022.
As always, students and parents/guardians are invited to consult with teachers, counselors, or administrators for assistance in planning out the high school course of study. If you wish to set up an appointment to discuss scheduling, please do so through the counseling office at 367-1533.
