Welcome to GeometryCourse Description:
This course involves the study of shapes combined with the principles of algebra. Content includes experience with basic geometric figures (two dimensional and three dimensional), deductive reasoning, transformations, surface area and volume, figure congruence, symmetry, figure similarity, and coordinate geometry. By completing this course, students gain experience in analytical thinking skills with emphasis on proof techniques and spatial visualization to integrate geometric relationships in other content areas. A scientific or graphing calculator will be used extensively. (A TI - 30 is the recommended calculator.)
