What do we learn in fourth grade English Language Arts (ELA)?
Students learn to improve their writing through the writing process, which includes peer editing groups and teacher conferencing during the editing stage. We write personal narratives, informational essays, and persuasive essays.
Students learn to apply various reading strategies during reading clinics, guided reading, literature circles, independent reading, and whole group theme reading to promote higher order thinking, text analysis, improved comprehension and fluency.
