Student Chromebook Distribution

    Dear Parents and Guardians,

    The Elizabethtown Area School District is excited to share that students entering 9th grade for the 2022-2023 school year are scheduled to receive a Chromebook device as part of the District’s 1:1/Personalized Learning Initiative (see distribution dates below). In addition to the Chromebook, included items in the EASD Student Chromebook Package are a carry case and power supply. Our goal in providing Chromebooks to our students is to enhance learning. This endeavor focuses on transforming the way students learn, empowering them with technology access that enhances learning and creativity. Research suggests that in a 1:1/Personalized Learning computing environment, students are more engaged and take a more active role in course instruction. Students will be able to use the Chromebook to conduct research, collaborate with classmates, problem-solve, and connect with others as only access to technology can allow. Accessibility of 1:1/Personalized Learning computing in the classroom places focus on instructional practices rather than the tool itself.

    Chromebook distribution information for ALL incoming students entering 9th grade can be found below, including dates, times, and location of pickup.     Chromebook Distribution Information for Students entering Grade 9

    Chromebooks will be distributed on the following three dates in the Middle School Bus Lobby between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. each day.  Take the road between the high school and football field. Follow it around to the bus circle. The Middle School entrance is on the far side of the building.

    **PLEASE NOTE: If applicable, students are asked to bring along any district-issued Chromebook device they were provided with but that has not been turned in already.

    • Thursday, July 14 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
    • Wednesday, July 20 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
    • Tuesday, July 26 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
