LOOK WHAT'S HAPPENING IN BEAR COUNTRY 2017-2018

  • EAHS announces Mini-THON and Community Hours

    Elizabethtown Area High School will hold it’s tenth annual Mini-THON this year on March 16-17, 2018 to benefit the Four Diamonds. Mini-THON is a student-run organization that plans fundraising events during the school year that culminates with a 12-hour dance marathon at the high school patterned after Penn State’s THON.

  • Heroes vs Legends Basketball

    The Elizabethtown Area School District and GEARS are teaming up to support EAHS’s Mini-THON campaign and GEARS Camp Ladybug with the seventh annual “Heroes vs. Legends” charity basketball game. Now in its seventh year, the charity game has netted over $8,000 for local programs.

  • EASD Proud To Take Part In Global “Giving Tuesday” Initiative

    The faculty and administration of Elizabethtown Area High School recently took part in the national “Giving Tuesday” initiative, which is in response to the commercialism and consumerism of this time of year. Giving Tuesday is dedicated to giving back to your community.

    The Elizabethtown Area School District is observing Red Ribbon Week this week (10/23-10/27). As part of the national commemoration, a week-long series of events is being held to signify the students’ awareness of healthy lifestyle choices.

  • Elizabethtown Area School District To Honor Local Veterans

    October 17, 2017- The Elizabethtown Area School District will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremony on Friday, Nov. 10, the day before the actual holiday, to honor our community’s military veterans.

  • EAHS hosting corn maze to benefit Four Diamonds Fund

    Elizabethtown Area High School’s Mini-THON Committee invites the community to attend its annual Corn Maze on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 5-9 p.m. at the Brubaker Farm, 1035 Union School Road, Mount Joy.

  • EASD welcomes the Class of 2030

    EASD welcomed the Class of 2030 today. In a scene that played out all across the district's four primary elementary schools, today the 237 members of the incoming kindergarten class were greeted by the smiling faces of school administration, specialists and kindergarten teachers as they arrived for their first day of school.

  • Parent Nights scheduled at EASD

    At the beginning of each school year, EASD holds Back-to-School Parent Nights at each of its school buildings. Back-to-School Parent Nights are a wonderful opportunity for parents and caregivers to meet the teachers and administrators.

  • EASD Announces School Open House Dates

    The Elizabethtown Area School District will host Back-to-School Open House events at each of its school facilities prior to the start of school. Each Open House will provide a wonderful opportunity to meet teachers, get acclimated with the buildings, and prepare for the new school year that begins August 28.

  • Local education foundation receives check from Masonic Village at Elizabethtown

    The Masonic Village at Elizabethtown recently presented a check for $15,000 to the Elizabethtown Area Education Foundation to benefit the foundation’s educational classroom grant program. Over the past eighth years, the Masonic Village has gifted the foundation $135,000 for its grant program.

    Summer Meals Outreach and Locator

    The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) offers free, nutritious meals to children 18 years and younger during the summer when school is not in session.

    SFSP is a federal child nutrition program. There are approximately 2500 locations throughout Pennsylvania that serve breakfast, lunch and/or snacks. Many of the locations provide activities as well.
