The Elizabethtown Area Education Foundation is delighted to announce the receipt of a generous $15,000 donation from the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown. Third graders from Bear Creek School’s book club concluded their school year with a special visit to East High Street Elementary School, where they met with second graders to discuss some of their favorite books.

On Tuesday, June 4, Elizabethtown Area Middle School held its eighth grade awards ceremony, recognizing the achievements of 97 students who received a combined total of 169 awards. The ceremony celebrated academic excellence, perseverance, and outstanding contributions in various subjects and activities.

On Tuesday, June 4, Elizabethtown Area High School held its commencement ceremony for the Class of 2024 at the LCBC Manheim Campus. There are a total of 320 seniors in the Class of 2024, with diplomas being awarded to 280 seniors at the year-end commencement ceremony.

Seven students from Elizabethtown Area High School recently received prestigious honors from the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center (LCCTC) as part of the LCCTC's 2024 Awards Program.

On Tuesday, May 21st, eight talented students from Bear Creek School traveled to the Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 (IU13) to compete in the prestigious 24 Challenge Math Competition. They joined ninety-two other students from Lancaster and Lebanon counties in this exciting event, which focuses on enhancing computation skills.

On Monday, June 3, East High Street Elementary School wrapped up the academic year with a delightful "Sharpen the Saw" day, organized to promote well-being and foster lasting connections among students.

The Elizabethtown Area School District is thrilled to announce the achievements of three Bear Creek School students in the Lancaster Newspapers (LNP) Student Journalism Contest and Design an Ad Contest. LNP published the winning entries, along with the names and bios of the students, in the May 22 issue of LNP. We are incredibly proud of Marley, Molly, and Jacob for their hard work and achievements.

On Friday, May 31, East High Street Elementary School held its highly anticipated year-end Leader In Me Celebration of Learning. The event featured a school-wide parade that brought together families, friends, community leaders, and school staff to celebrate the students' achievements over the past year.

Bear Creek School's third-grade and fourth-grade gifted education students celebrated the culmination of their year-long Trout Harvesting project with a successful release of the fish into Conoy Creek. This tributary is part of the larger Susquehanna River watershed, an essential ecosystem in Pennsylvania.

The Jump Start initiative pairs incoming ninth graders with a sophomore, junior, or senior mentor to help ease their transition into high school.

These murals stand as a testament to creativity, collaboration, and leadership within the Bear Creek community.

Elizabethtown Area High School proudly announces the graduation of eighteen students from the EMS (Emergency Medical Services) Pre-Apprenticeship program. The pre-apprenticeship program was offered in collaboration with the local Emergency Medical Services provider. During this cooperative work experience program, students developed various essential skills and knowledge areas required to become EMTs.

Seven Elizabethtown Area High School students have successfully completed the Lancaster Chamber's Discovering Paths program, a prestigious career exploration and mentoring initiative designed for high school juniors across Lancaster County. The participating students are Kendall Erdman, Makaylea Joiner, Edelewit Kedir, Djemba N'Kikwe, Taryn Pantenella, Laila Robinson, and Gavin Wertman.

Bainbridge Elementary School celebrated its annual "Sharpen the Saw" day on Thursday, May 16. "Sharpen the Saw" is one of the 7 Habits from The Leader in Me program, emphasizing life balance.

Elizabethtown Area High School proudly announces the graduation of nine students from the Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship program at Penn State York Campus. Receiving recognition were Alan Acri, Logan Batche, Aubrey Powell, Mason Ridilla, Elianer Ruiz, Trenton Smith, Xsavier Vargas, Hunter Whitney, and Zachary Williams.

Mr. Ned Thilo, a local skilled stone carver, recently engaged with students from the Elizabethtown Area High School's Sculpture 1 and 2 classes. During his presentation, Mr. Thilo showcased his portfolio of work to the students, demonstrating various stone carving techniques and providing insights into the instruments he employs in his craft.

During the week of May 6-10, the leadership team of the Bear Creek School, comprised of Principal Jacques Viau, Assistant Principal Jason Kingsborough, and School Counselor Kara Baxter, took a special visit to Bainbridge and East High Street Elementary Schools. Their objective: to connect with the current second graders and lay the groundwork for their transition to Bear Creek School as they prepare to advance to third grade.

On Friday, May 10, despite the wet weather, the Bear Creek School hosted its highly anticipated annual Fun Run, affectionately known this year as the "Running of the Bears." Proceeds from the event will be used to support a variety of enriching activities and resources for students and the school community.
