EAMS Honor Roll Banner

Elizabethtown Area Middle School is pleased to announce the release of the honor roll for the fourth marking period of the 2023-2024 school year. Dr. David Beard, the school's principal, assisted by Assistant Principal Kaitlyn Dobyns and Dean of Students Keith Stokes, has recognized students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement.

This esteemed recognition is part of a program dedicated to celebrating student achievements, fostering a culture of learning, and highlighting the significant contributions students make to the high school community.

On Tuesday, May 21st, eight talented students from Bear Creek School traveled to the Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 (IU13) to compete in the prestigious 24 Challenge Math Competition. They joined ninety-two other students from Lancaster and Lebanon counties in this exciting event, which focuses on enhancing computation skills.

Winners of the  LNP Ad Contest

The Elizabethtown Area School District is thrilled to announce the achievements of three Bear Creek School students in the Lancaster Newspapers (LNP) Student Journalism Contest and Design an Ad Contest. LNP published the winning entries, along with the names and bios of the students, in the May 22 issue of LNP. We are incredibly proud of Marley, Molly, and Jacob for their hard work and achievements.

Group Photo - Jump Start Mentees

Elizabethtown Area High School recently held a special ceremony to celebrate its inaugural Jump Start crew, a pioneering group of students participating in the school's new transition program for incoming ninth graders. The Jump Start initiative pairs incoming ninth graders with a sophomore, junior, or senior mentor to help ease their transition into high school.

On Tuesday, May 21, Bear Creek School students proudly revealed two of their three planned Leadership Murals, showcasing their creativity and teamwork. The Bear Creek community extends its heartfelt gratitude to all involved in making this project a reality. These murals stand as a testament to creativity, collaboration, and leadership within the Bear Creek community.

EMT Pre-apprenticeship Graduates Group Photo

Elizabethtown Area High School proudly announces the graduation of eighteen students from the EMS (Emergency Medical Services) Pre-Apprenticeship program. The pre-apprenticeship program was offered in collaboration with the local Emergency Medical Services provider. During this cooperative work experience program, students developed various essential skills and knowledge areas required to become EMTs.

Discovering Paths Program Graduation Ceremony

Seven Elizabethtown Area High School students have successfully completed the Lancaster Chamber's Discovering Paths program, a prestigious career exploration and mentoring initiative designed for high school juniors across Lancaster County. The participating students are Kendall Erdman, Makaylea Joiner, Edelewit Kedir, Djemba N'Kikwe, Taryn Pantenella, Laila Robinson, and Gavin Wertman.

During the week of May 6-10, the leadership team of the Bear Creek School, comprised of Principal Jacques Viau, Assistant Principal Jason Kingsborough, and School Counselor Kara Baxter, took a special visit to Bainbridge and East High Street Elementary Schools. Their objective: to connect with the current second graders and lay the groundwork for their transition to Bear Creek School as they prepare to advance to third grade.
