Elizabethtown Area High School students in the artistic crafts and fibers class made t-shirts based on classic children’s book such as Curious George, The Cat in the Hat, and The Hungry Monster and presented the t-shirts to second graders from Bainbridge Elementary School.
The faculty and administration of Elizabethtown Area High School recently took part in the national “Giving Tuesday” initiative, which is in response to the commercialism and consumerism of this time of year. Giving Tuesday is dedicated to giving back to your community.
Elizabethtown Area High School’s Mini-Thon committee will be hosting a corn maze on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 5-9 p.m. The event will be held at Brubaker Farm, located at 1035 Union School Road in Mount Joy.
Students from Bainbridge Elementary School, with the help of the school’s PTO, recently celebrated Garden Day by cleaning, weeding, and mulching the school’s science garden. The service learning project was connected to the school’s science curriculum on Life Cycles.
Bainbridge Elementary School recently held “Fire Prevention Day” to stress the importance of being prepared in the event of an emergency. As part of the special program, representatives of the Bainbridge Fire Company Station 71 visited the school to share important safety tips.
On Friday, Sept. 9, students, faculty and staff across the Elizabethtown Area School District commemorated Patriot Day by dressing in red, white and blue attire. The observance paid respect to the 2,977 victims who were killed during the terrorist attacks as well as the countless injured.
Bainbridge Elementary School brought S.T.E.A.M. instruction (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) to life by challenging its second graders to be innovative and imaginative thinkers through a project-based exercise using LEGO pieces.
In a scene that played out all across the district's four primary elementary schools, today the 218 members of the incoming kindergarten class (Class of 2029) were greeted by the smiling faces of school administration, specialists and kindergarten teachers as they arrived for their first day of school.
