  • EASD students win state-level Destination Imagination Tournament

    Four teams of students from Elizabethtown Area School District placed first in Pennsylvania Destination ImaginNation tournament and are now eligible to compete at the global finals to be held in Knoxville, TN later this spring.

  • Bear Creek students participate in all-star choral ensemble

    Five students from Bear Creek School recently took part in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 7 Elementary Songfest. The students were sixth graders Kyveli Georges, Charlotte Hershey, Tristan Lentz, Casimir Mikula, and Abigail Rickabaugh.

  • Bear Creek School raises $1,078 for local charity

    The Bear Creek School recently held a coin drive in March to benefit the local charity Brittany’s Hope. Over the four days of collection, the students, faculty, and staff of the school raised an amazing $1,078.53

  • Bear Creek School chess team takes home trophy in local league

    The Bear Creek School chess team placed third out of eleven private and public schools in the Friendship Chess League Tournament. The Friendship Chess League is open to students in grades 4-9, although there are mostly seventh and eighth graders involved.

  • Four E-town Students take part in First-Ever Cocalico Oratory

    Four Bear Creek School students recently took part in the first-ever Cocalico Oratory Invitational held in mid-March. The event was a celebration of the spoken word and featured student speakers in grades 5-8 from districts across Lancaster and Lebanon counties.

  • Bear Creek School team earns third place at Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Competition

    A team of students from the Bear Creek School recently took part in the Lancaster-Lebanon IU13 Real World STEM Solution Challenge. Sixth graders Carson Brantley, Matthew Sharp, Logan Conrad, Bryan Murray, and Mitchell Garber collaborated as Team Mission - Emission to design their H2 Auto.

  • EAHS announces spring concert series

    The Elizabethtown Area School District is pleased to announce its 2016 Spring Concert Series dates. The public is invited free of charge. The concert series is a way for the district’s talented student-musicians to showcase their musical talents in front of family, friends and the community at large. All concerts will begin at 7 p.m.

  • Bear Creek School to host winter concert

    Please join the Bear Creek School student orchestra for a beautiful night of music on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. The annual ‘Beat the Winter Blahs’ winter concert, directed by Mrs. Jill Placeway, will feature performances by the school’s fifth and sixth grade advanced orchestra, as well as some smaller ensembles, including a select group of beginning musicians.

  • Giving Tree Program Supports Local Families

    To help brighten the holidays for families in need, the Bear Creek School recently held its annual Holiday Giving Tree program. As part of this annual tradition, the school’s faculty, staff and students as well as community members purchased suggested gifts for families who could use the help this season of giving.

  • EASD Elementary Schools hold annual carol sings for students, family, and friends

    Each year, Elizabethtown Area School District's music department coordinates holiday carol sings at each elementary school. During the final half week of classes before the holiday break, family and friends were invited to the school to see the students, faculty, and staff sing holiday classics.
