Keys to Success in Chemistry
Have a Chemistry Notebook
Take good class notes, you are responsible for studying notes prior to next class
period
Suggest 15/20 minute review of class notes on Sun.,Mon.,Tues.,Wed.,Thurs.
Use checkmarks to indicate any area of notes that you are having trouble
comprehending
Begin next day's class by asking questions about checked areas
Read chapter in your text prior to taking test on the material
Chemistry is cumulative, your attendance in class can be directly correlated to your
performance on tests and quizzes.
If for any reason you must miss a class period, get notes from a classmate and see me
for clarification on material that remains questionable
The instant you realize you are having difficulty with a particular topic seek additional
help after school . No appointment is required.
Caution Chemistry is like quicksand. If you get caught not comprehending,and begin to struggle without seeking help, you will rapidly be in over your head.
