  • East High Street Elementary Giving Tree gifts holiday joy to 40 families

    The East High Street Elementary Giving Tree recently brought holiday joy to families less fortunate in the community. Through the generosity of the school’s faculty, support staff, and PTO, as well as some community support, over 40 families received holiday help in the form of presents, winter wear, and gift cards.

    Ready to start your New Year off with an icy dip? Register for the Elizabethtown Area High School Mini-THON Polar Plunge on January 1st at the Willowood Swim Club. A minimum donation of $10 is required.

  • EAHS November students of the month named

    Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Megan Polites and Lukas Schaffer were named the Elizabethtown Rotary Club’s students of month for November. Polites and Schaffer were honored for their high academic achievement and extensive involvement in school and community service activities.

  • EASD Proud To Take Part In Global “Giving Tuesday” Initiative

    The faculty and administration of Elizabethtown Area High School recently took part in the national “Giving Tuesday” initiative, which is in response to the commercialism and consumerism of this time of year. Giving Tuesday is dedicated to giving back to your community.

  • Bear Creek Students Participate in Music Festival

    Eleven students from Bear Creek School were selected to participate in the 2016 PMEA Youth Honors Band Festival, which was held November 11-12 at Central Dauphin East Middle School.

  • Elizabethtown Area School District 2016 Holiday Concert Series

    Ring in the season by joining the Elizabethtown Area School District’s Music Department for four evenings of festive holiday music. At each concert, the district’s talented student-musicians will perform a variety of seasonal favorites beloved by all. All four public concerts are open to the public and free of charge.

  • EAHS Announces First Marking Period Honor Roll

    Elizabethtown Area High School principal Maura Hobson, assistant principal Robert Crick, and assistant principal Dr. Lyn Shaffer have announced the honor roll for the first marking period of the 2016-2017 school year. A total of 448 students made the honor roll this marking period, which equates to roughly 37% of the student body in grades 9-12 having a GPA at or above 94%.

  • EAMS names students of the month

    Each month, Elizabethtown Area Middle School recognizes the positive contributions of its students through its Student of the Month program. The teachers from each of the school’s six academic teams select the honorees for demonstrating excellence both academically and socially, as well as being a good role model in and out of the classroom.

  • EAHS students earn awards at National FFA Convention and Expo

    Members of the Elizabethtown FFA Chapter in Pennsylvania were one of 31 teams participating in the National FFA Marketing Plan Career Development Event (CDE). The event was held in conjunction with the 89th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis.

  • Elizabethtown Area School District Honors Local Veterans

    Elizabethtown Area School District saluted 27 local veterans during its ninth annual Veterans Day Ceremony. The program afforded school officials and high school students an opportunity to salute local veterans for their service to the country. It was also an opportunity for students to learn about the contributions that veterans have made and learn about the meaning of the day.

  • East High Street Elementary holds domino rodeo to boost math skills

    First graders at East High Street Elementary practiced their math skills making use of an old fashioned game with origins dating to the 18th Century - dominoes. Using dominoes, the students rotated through five stations were they worked on counting, addition, subtraction, and matching sums.

  • National Signing Day at Elizabethtown Area High School

    Three Elizabethtown Area High School seniors recently accepted scholarships at the school’s National Signing Day event. Joining the athletes on their special day were their families, teammates, coaches, faculty members, and administration in the high school auditorium as each was introduced.

  • EAHS Orchestra to Perform Pops Concert

    The Elizabethtown Area High School Orchestra will perform its annual Pops Concert on Monday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. The program will be held in Brossman Hall on the campus of the Masonic Village with refreshments throughout the concert.

  • EAMS students say YES! to their economic success

    For a day, Elizabethtown Area Middle School traded in algebra, history, and life science for branding, logos, tag lines, slogans, and credit scores as part of Junior Achievement’s YES! program. YES! stands for Your Economic Success. The school-wide initiative aligned with the district’s Pathways program.
