    The Elizabethtown Area High School music department recently returned from a magical and amazing journey to Orlando, FL where they performed at the world famous Walt Disney World Resort.

  • East High Street Elementary launches One School, One Book program

    East High Street Elementary School launched its annual One School, One Book family literacy initiative. As part of the program, each student in the school received the same book to read outside the classroom to promote literacy and family involvement in each child’s education.

  • Elementary students collect 1,100 food items to support local families in need

    East High Street Elementary School held a canned food drive prior to the holiday break. The students, faculty, and staff at the school were in the giving spirit as a remarkable 1,100 food items were collected and distributed to families in need at the school, surpassing their goal of 750 items.

  • EAHS December students of the month named

    Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Madison Ebersole and Kent Taylor were named the Elizabethtown Rotary Club’s students of month for December. Ebersole and Taylor were honored for their high academic achievement and extensive involvement in school and community service activities.

  • Giving Tree Program Supports Local Families

    To help brighten the holidays for families in need, the Bear Creek School recently held its annual Holiday Giving Tree program. As part of this annual tradition, the school’s faculty, staff and students as well as community members purchased suggested gifts for families who could use the help this season of giving.

  • EAHS art students share t-shirt designs and a book with elementary students

    Elizabethtown Area High School students in the artistic crafts and fibers class made t-shirts based on classic children’s book such as Curious George, The Cat in the Hat, and The Hungry Monster and presented the t-shirts to second graders from Bainbridge Elementary School.

    Ready to start your New Year off with an icy dip? Register for the Elizabethtown Area High School Mini-THON Polar Plunge on January 1st at the Willowood Swim Club. A minimum donation of $10 is required.

  • East High Street Elementary Giving Tree gifts holiday joy to 40 families

    The East High Street Elementary Giving Tree recently brought holiday joy to families less fortunate in the community. Through the generosity of the school’s faculty, support staff, and PTO, as well as some community support, over 40 families received holiday help in the form of presents, winter wear, and gift cards.

  • EASD Proud To Take Part In Global “Giving Tuesday” Initiative

    The faculty and administration of Elizabethtown Area High School recently took part in the national “Giving Tuesday” initiative, which is in response to the commercialism and consumerism of this time of year. Giving Tuesday is dedicated to giving back to your community.

    Eleven students from Bear Creek School were selected to participate in the 2016 PMEA Youth Honors Band Festival, which was held November 11-12 at Central Dauphin East Middle School.

  • Elizabethtown Area School District 2016 Holiday Concert Series

    Ring in the season by joining the Elizabethtown Area School District’s Music Department for four evenings of festive holiday music. At each concert, the district’s talented student-musicians will perform a variety of seasonal favorites beloved by all. All four public concerts are open to the public and free of charge.
