  • E-town students recognized in prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program

    Elizabethtown Area High School senior Aparna Paul is among 16,000 semifinalists in the 62nd annual National Merit Scholarship Program. This prestigious designation placed her in the top one percent of all U.S. high school seniors and among the highest scoring entrants in Pennsylvania.

  • EAHS September students of the month named

    Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Emily Reiner and Braydon Shuck were named the Elizabethtown Rotary Club’s students of month for September. Reiner and Shuck were honored for their high academic achievement and extensive involvement in school, and community service activities.

  • East High Street Elementary celebrates “Dot Day”

    The students and faculty of East High Street Elementary School held a school-wide celebration of Dot Day on Sept. 15 by reading Peter Reynolds acclaimed children’s book, The Dot.

  • EASD Celebrates Patriot Day

    On Friday, Sept. 9, students, faculty and staff across the Elizabethtown Area School District commemorated Patriot Day by dressing in red, white and blue attire. The observance paid respect to the 2,977 victims who were killed during the terrorist attacks as well as the countless injured.

  • Rheems Elementary welcomes 'The NED Show' for character education assembly

    Rheems Elementary School recently welcomed the NED Show to its stage for a multi-sensory lesson in character development. The program used humor, story telling, yo-yo tricks, rope magic, and balloon art to motivate and inspire students to be “Champions” in school and in life.

  • EAMS hosts Classy Wednesday to promote self confidence

    On Wednesday, Sept. 7, Elizabethtown Area Middle School held it first "Classy Wednesday" promotion of the new school. To be held each Wednesday, this initiative encouraged the students, faculty, and staff to get dressed up to help promote self confidence and an overall sense of feeling good about themselves.

  • Bainbridge students use LEGO pieces to learn collaboration, critical thinking, communication, and creativity skills

    Bainbridge Elementary School brought S.T.E.A.M. instruction (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) to life by challenging its second graders to be innovative and imaginative thinkers through a project-based exercise using LEGO pieces.

  • Athletic Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony Set For October 7

    Elizabethtown Area High School will induct four former student-athletes into its Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, Oct. 7 at a special ceremony held at Elizabethtown College. To be enshrined that day will be Glenn Ebersole (Class of 1965), Melissa Hukill (Class of 1985), Terry Parks (Class of 1971), and Jared Sernoffsky (Class of 2006).

  • EASD Welcomes Class of 2029

    In a scene that played out all across the district's four primary elementary schools, today the 218 members of the incoming kindergarten class (Class of 2029) were greeted by the smiling faces of school administration, specialists and kindergarten teachers as they arrived for their first day of school.

  • Elementary Instrumental Music Family Night at EASD

    Elizabethtown Area School District will hold its annual Elementary Instrumental Music Family Night on Tuesday, Sept. 6, from 7-8 p.m. at the Bear Creek School. This special evening is for families with children in grades 4 through 6 who have an interest in signing up for the school’s band or orchestra program.

  • EAHS’s Solomon Heisey wins prestigious science fair

    Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Madison Ebersole and Solomon Heisey recently took part in the 2016 EnergyPath conference held at Penn State University. EnergyPath is the largest sustainable energy conference in the Mid-Atlantic region.

  • EAH’s Megan Polites Selected for Mini-THON Student Leadership Council

    Elizabethtown Area High School senior Megan Polites has been selected to the 2016-2017 Mini-THON Student Leadership Council. The Mini-THON Student Leadership Council, comprised of a select group of student leaders, provides feedback and input to the Four Diamonds staff on the Mini-THON program.
